WORK WITH ME
I’m Stacey Harwood. I help women restore balance in their bodies and lives by addressing hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and stress. Through personalised coaching and practical lifestyle strategies, they gain energy, confidence, and emotional resilience.
For years, I struggled silently with hormone imbalances, a missing menstrual cycle, autoimmune gut issues, and the constant pressure to do it all. I sought answers only to be met with quick fixes, prescriptions, or the advice to simply ‘stress less’. Deep down, I knew there had to be a better way.
Through years of self-discovery, healing, and education, I found a more natural, sustainable, and empowering path to wellness. That’s why I created Balance With Friends, a supportive space where women can find clarity, confidence, and community while working toward better gut and hormone health.

FAQs
Still wondering if it’s right for you? Here are some of the most common questions from my community.

When you work with me, we start by assessing your current situation: your gut (symptoms, diet, microbiome clues), your hormone signals (energy, cycles, moods, sleep), your lifestyle & nervous system habits (stress load, sleep, movement, rest). Then we co-create a customised plan that addresses foundational pillars (nutrition, movement, sleep, stress regulation), plus targeted actions for gut health, hormone support and nervous system regulation.
This is a collaborative process. I provide education, tools, accountability and support, while you bring your consistency and openness. We focus on sustainable habit change, not quick fixes. If needed, I may refer you to other professionals, because coaching supports but doesn’t replace medical treatment. -
Every person is unique, but many clients start to notice improvements in digestion, energy and mood within a few weeks. Deeper hormonal or gut imbalances can take several months. Common outcomes include better digestion, more stable energy, improved sleep, calmer stress responses, and greater overall vitality.
Consistency is key. Progress depends on your starting point and how regularly you apply what you learn. -
Gut health refers to how well your digestive system functions, including how efficiently you digest and absorb nutrients and the balance of bacteria in your microbiome. A healthy gut supports your immune system, hormone balance, mood, and energy. In coaching, we work on restoring balance through nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle changes that support digestion and overall wellbeing.

Your gut helps metabolise and eliminate hormones, and imbalances in gut bacteria can disrupt this process. Likewise, hormonal shifts can influence digestion and microbiome balance. By improving gut function, we naturally support hormonal harmony, energy, and mood, it’s a two-way street.

Your nervous system governs how your body responds to stress, including digestion, hormone production, and immune function. Chronic stress keeps your body in “fight or flight,” which can disrupt gut health and hormones. I teach practical tools (like breathwork, nervous system resets, and mindful routines) to help bring your body into “rest and repair,” creating a foundation for healing and resilience.

No. Health coaching complements medical care but does not replace it. If you have a diagnosed condition, you should continue to work with your healthcare provider. Coaching focuses on lifestyle, mindset, and behaviour change that support your body’s natural healing processes. If any issues arise that need medical assessment, I’ll always refer you appropriately.Item description
